TWEED TheaterWorks’ GARDEN VARIETY

TWEED TheaterWorks announces its second annual outdoor performance series GARDEN VARIETY. Showtime is 7pm at 6&B Community Garden at the corner of Sixth Street and Avenue B.

Featured performances by John Kelly, UNITARD, David Greenspan, Carol Lipnik, VickiKristinaBarcelona and Bergman and Bloustein. Special guests to be announced.

The event is sponsored by HOWL Arts, The Department of Cultural Affairs and The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. All performances are free. Complimentary beverages and snacks will be provided by Trader Joe’s. Rain dates for each performance will be the following Thursday. The East Village’s community gardens are an enduring symbol of the radical reclamation of underused public space for the purpose of cultural enrichment. GARDEN VARIETY invigorates this resource, providing a context for intergenerational, multicultural audiences to celebrate and build community.
