The Joffrey Ballet School presents The Nutcracker

Students from the Joffrey Ballet School’s Children’s & Youth Ballet program and NYC Ballet Trainee Program will present the full two act holiday tradition, “The Nutcracker” at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, in collaboration with the New Jersey City University Theatre Orchestra.

As a work for students it is an ideal challenge and gives dancers many opportunities from the “babies” to the young adults as a collaboration with the Ballet Trainee Program. Set to what is regarded as Tchaikovsky’s best ballet score, the story tells the courage and love of a small girl, Clara, in breaking the wicked spell held over the Nutcracker Prince.
