Divine Times Collective is excited to announce a unique and queer, POC centered event, the Festival of Grounded Souls, a day-long celebration in Herbert Von King Park. This free event will bring together the community for a joyful gathering of workshops, activities, and performances by local artisans and musicians.

With a refreshing approach to traditional festivals, the Festival of Grounded Souls prioritizes inner-child healing, mindfulness, and vulnerability, with a particular focus on supporting black and brown queer individuals. The festival aims to create a safe and inclusive space where attendees can embrace their authentic selves and connect with their inner child.
● The day will kick off with a transformative group laughter meditation workshop led by the renowned musician and spiritualist, Laraaji, setting the tone for a day of self-discovery and connection. Participants will engage in childhood games, fostering a sense of nostalgia and joy. The festival will conclude with a vibrant community drum circle, bringing everyone together in a rhythmic celebration of community and unity.
● Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops designed to inspire creativity and mindfulness. The festival will feature three engaging workshops: natural ink finger-painting, a plant walk, and botanical bookmark crafting. These interactive workshops will allow participants to explore their artistic side, connect with nature, and create beautiful mementos.
● In addition to the workshops, a wide range of activities will be available throughout the day. Attendees can indulge in classic childhood pastimes such as double dutch, parachute games, hop scotch, bubble wrestling, hula hooping, and even compete in a lively freeze dance competition. The festival promises an abundance of fun and laughter for people of all ages.
● We are grateful for the support of local businesses, and by the grace of these businesses, those who RSVP for the event will receive exclusive discounts from participating establishments in the area. The first 100 attendees will also receive a free kolache thanks to Brooklyn Kolache, as well as free iced coffee from Lil Roy Coffee. Furthermore, those who RSVP with a donation will have a chance to win an incredible raffle prize package. The lucky raffle winner will receive a free spa experience, a gift voucher from Better Help, a variety of Divine Times merchandise, unique artwork from talented local artisans, and much more.

● The Festival of Grounded Souls is a non-profit event, and any donations received will be used to compensate contributors, fund future events, and support local organizations that uplift black and brown queer communities.
