Special Screening of Elijah (film) at Bryant Library

Bryant Library presents the award-winning film from Queens, ‘Elijah’  June 26, at 5 p.m..

Directed by Queens filmmaker Razid Season and supported by Huntington Arts Council, Elijah is the story of an immigrant family that faces the reality that the American Dream may never be theirs. Crisis spills into their family life as their only daughter is consumed by her own struggle, a desire to live life fully as man in a transphobic culture. Can a traditional immigrant family embrace a child who defies gender norms?
