S.L.A.M. Presents: Sex Ed vs. Project 2025

June 26, 10 am6 pm.
$100

Join us for Sex Ed vs. Project 2025, an urgent and community-driven event by S.L.A.M. (Sexuality Liberators And Movers) dedicated to resisting the coordinated attacks on trans and queer people, sex education, and reproductive rights. This event is designed to foster collective strategy, build solidarity, and equip educators, activists, and caregivers with tools to counteract the dangerous rhetoric of Project 2025 and the broader white supremacist agenda seeking to dismantle bodily autonomy.

Founded by Stephanie Zapata, S.L.A.M. is committed to honest truth-telling in sexuality education. Instead of shying away from America’s legacy of reproductive oppression, we are building a stage upon it—centering the communities most impacted by racism, xenophobia, transantagonism, colonialism, and ableism. Sex Ed vs. Project 2025 will create a space for those affected to share their stories, explore history, and engage in action-oriented discussions that empower us all to fight back.

This hybrid virtual & in-person gathering will bring together leading sex educators, organizers, and advocates to examine the threats posed by Project 2025, share resistance strategies, and ensure that our communities remain informed, protected, and equipped to challenge systemic harm.

This event will feature a rotating panel structure led by experts in sexuality education and reproductive health, tackling urgent topics and paving the way for action:

🔹 Panel 1: Sex Education in Classrooms – What’s Really Happening? An inside look at the state of sex education in schools, the impact of censorship, and what’s at stake for students and educators.

🔹 Panel 2: Politicizing Sex Ed & Legislating Against AutonomyExamining the intersection of sex education and policy, from anti-LGBTQ+ laws to abortion bans—how these attacks are connected and what we can do to resist.

🔹 Panel 3: Imagining, Dreaming & Creating Your Own Sex EducationHow can we break away from institutional limits to create radical, community-centered sex education? A discussion on alternative models, pleasure activism, and reimagining what sex ed can be.
