TOMORROW: COUNCIL MEMBER FARAH LOUIS, SENATOR ROXANNE PERSAUD, AND THE MULTICULTURAL BRIDGE PROJECT TO HOST HUMANITARIAN COAT & CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS IN PREPARATION FOR WINTER SEASON

As Temperatures Begin to Drop, Louis and Persaud are Working With The Multicultural Bridge Project and Local Faith-Based Institutions to Ensure We Help Prepare Our Most Vulnerable Neighbors for the Winter Season

Brooklyn, NY – Tomorrow at 12:00 PM, Council Member Farah Louis, Senator Roxanne Persaud, and The Multicultural Bridge Project will host a Humanitarian Coat & Clothing Distribution for asylum seekers currently staying at the Highland Park Shelter in East Flatbush, in partnership with the NYC Department of Social Services (DSS). Winter coats, boots, clothing, and pajamas donated by companies and members of the community will be handed out, along with hygiene products.

WHAT: Council Member Louis, The Multicultural Bridge Project, and local volunteers distribute winter coats and clothing to asylum seekers. Press invited to attend as donated goods are loaded into vans before heading to the shelter.

Note: In the interest of protecting the privacy of asylum seekers, press is not permitted into the shelter itself.
