Queen & Rook Fantasy Faire Block Party

Queen & Rook’s Fantasy Faire Block Party returns on Saturday, May 3rd from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.! Get ready for a day filled with Renaissance Faire and fantasy-themed fun, featuring amazing performances, thrilling quests, delicious food, fantastic local vendors, and so much more taking over the 100 Block of South Street between S 2nd and Front Streets! This festival is free to attend with many family-friendly activities, and costumes are definitely encouraged!

More than 25 fantasy and craft vendors will transform the street into a medieval, magical escape with costumes, mead tasting, wax sealing and dipping, tarot card readings, and lots of nerdy crafts and art. Enjoy sword fighting and fire performers alongside comedians and musicians! This year, enchanting performances will take place on multiple stages both inside and out.

Queen & Rook will also have first-come, first-served table service inside where they’ll be serving up wood-fired pizzas and a fantasy-inspired food and drink including spring D&D cocktails celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons! Also featured on the menu will be The Rekha samosa chaat pizza (named for Philadelphia-born comedian Rekha Shankar); the kid-friendly, zero-proof “Dubious Cocktail” (Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild); and Butterbeer (served hot or cold).

The Fantasy Renn Faire will cap off the 9-block festival known as South Street Live!, a community rooted experience offering live performances, immersive art, local vendors, and cultural experiences along South Street from 8th to Front Streets. Highlighting the businesses that make this commercial corridor so vibrant, there will also be activations from Atomic City Comics, Repo Records, Tattooed Mom, and more.
