Nyad’s Dream: A New Queer, Magical Play

Nyad’s Dream opens when Phoenix, a non-binary artist, nearly drowns and loses all their memories. Over the course of the play, through medicine and magic they discover they are not alive by accident. 

Nyad’s Dream thematically resides at the intersection of queerness, identity, environmentalism, and magic. It poses the question of are we a collection of our pasts or are we part of the divine spark of the universe?  Identity is further explored in casting, as all characters are textually queer and represent the ordinary grace of the rainbow family, it showcases there are many valid answers to the question of how to live.
