Larsen Salon Series: Charles Renfro & Jonah Bokaer (August 17)

LongHouse Reserve will host an intimate Artist Talk and public presentation featuring Charles Renfro, Partner at Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and choreographer Jonah Bokaer. The event will explore the intersection of architecture and choreography, delving into their past and present collaborations and perspectives on evolving cultural production in 2024. Jonah Bokaer, a Tunisian-American artist known for blending choreography with visual art and design, has produced 68 original works in 35 nations and 295 cities, significantly impacting the arts with $11M+ in revenue and a city-wide festival. Charles Renfro has been with DS+R since 1997, leading projects like the Tianjin Juilliard School and Zaryadye Park, and is involved in designing new arts centers such as the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance’s home in Harlem. Both are noted for their contributions to LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities, with Renfro also serving as a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts.
