Howie the Harp Peer Training Program Deadline Approaching

Community Access’s Howie the Harp Peer Training Program located in Harlem will return to its pre-pandemic programming in Spring 2023, and is currently accepting applications for enrollment.
The application, as well as attendance to the award-winning program, is free of charge to all participants, and will provide an intensive 18-week classroom-based training and 12-week internship experience to specifically train people in mental health recovery to work as peer providers in Human Services. To be eligible, participants must have a clinical mental health diagnosis, reside in the NYC metropolitan area, have at least a high school diploma or the equivalent, be able to work in the U.S., and be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The deadline to apply is December 5, and classes will run from February 6 through June 15, 2023 at our training center in Central Harlem.
More information, including the application process, can be found on the Community Access website. If you have any questions, please contact Anthony (Tony) Wright, Coordinator of Training, at [email protected].
