First Flight Showcase of New Works — Murmuration Theatre Co

A festival of socially conscious, timely, and propulsive short plays from queer-femme-led theatre company Murmuration Theatre Co. Across this quartet of NY premieres—including Dylan Gottlieb’s DOWNWARD MOBILITY, Lindsey Walko’s HOPE IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS, Katie Ryan’s NIGHTMARES SPRING FROM AMERICAN DREAMS, and Erica Smith’s A VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH—the First Flight Showcase touches on everything from wealth inequality to spirituality, immigration to modern feminism, activism to aliens. The festival will be hosted by Teatro LATEA, a gorgeous venue run by the Clemente Center (a Puerto Rican and Latinx cultural space rooted in the Lower East Side).
