New York filmmaker Razid Season’s latest short film, Elijah, will be screened at the KAFFNY Infinite Cinema on November 7 at 8:00 PM at Village East Cinema, 189 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003. KAFFNY is an annual international film festival run by the Korean American Film Organization of New York.

The film, Elijah, follows a Bangladeshi Muslim taxi driver, Haider, whose American Dream crumbles. His relationship with his transgender son challenges his past views on LGBTQ issues, forcing him to confront prejudice in his community to protect the child he loves.

The film was released into the festival circuit in early 2025 and received several awards, including Best LGBTQIA+ Film at the Tasveer Film Festival, an Oscar- qualifying film festival in Seattle.

Director Season will attend the screening and a post-screening Q&A with the audience.
