Climate Justice Lives Here! Festival
UPROSE, the oldest Latino community nonprofit in Brooklyn, is hosting a series of NYC Frontline Climate Week events, culminating in our “Climate Justice Lives Here!” festival on Saturday, September 28th, at the Brooklyn Army Terminal. This festival celebrates the 10th anniversary of the People’s Climate March and shines a spotlight on the crucial role frontline communities play in advancing climate justice.
The event will feature cultural performances, poetry, learning circles, art projects, and a multicultural food bazaar—all focused on raising awareness for climate justice. Through this multi-dimensional approach, we aim to amplify the message that the solutions to climate change are local!
