City Year New York’s MLK’s Day of Service

As a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service to others, City Year considers Martin Luther King Day as a day on not off. Each MLK Day, City Year New York mobilizes its 150+ AmeriCorps members alongside hundreds of volunteers for a day of service.

On January 16th, 2023, CYNY will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the Highbridge Green School in the Bronx. Join over 500 volunteers to hear from inspiring speakers, build community, and work on school beautification projects to help create encouraging school environments for our students. As always, this is a family friendly event and people of all ages are welcome to participate.

For those unable to join us in person, we will have a virtual option, giving volunteers an opportunity to hear from speakers and complete physical service activities from the comforts of their own home.
