We are back to share our favorite picks for books and burlesque this fall! Featuring exciting award-winning and diverse authors reading excerpts from their books: Bushra Rahman “Roses in the Mouth of a Lion” (coming-of-age novel), Casey McQuiston “The Pairing” (queer romance novel), Mateo Askaripour “This Great Hemisphere” (science fiction), Jiaming Tang “Cinema Love” (debut novel), Terry Williams “Life Underground: Encounters with People Below the Streets of New York” (nonfiction).

Each author has been paired with a spectacular burlesque or drag performer who will be creating new acts inspired by the books they read! Starring Spicy Delight, Chestnut Belafonte, Racy Declare, Aurora North & Faux Pas Le Fae. Produced and hosted by Fortune Cookie.

Our local bookstore partner, Book Club Bar (197 East 3rd Street) will be selling signed copies of all our featured authors books.
