“Beer Ogles” opening reception

“Beer Ogles” is a new series of ink and watercolor images from cartoonist Bill Roundy, featuring cute queer archetypes you might find at a gay bar (the Twink, the Bear, the Couple Who Really Dig Your Vibe, etc.), each shown in and with a beer. The series uses the tools of comic strips (exaggeration, humor, and sequential images) and the format of fine art to tell stories of hook-ups in potential. The show will be on display Aug. 7-20.
