All-Ages RuPaul’s Drag Race Watch Party in Coney Island

Southern Brooklyn’s only weekly drag show and New York City’s only all-ages RuPaul’s Drag Race watch party returns to Coney Island for its third season — now at a new home.

Produced by Tawk Productions and hosted by Brooklyn drag artist Maxxxim, this free weekly event has become a beloved neighborhood tradition and an important community gathering during Coney Island’s off-season. What started as a simple viewing party has grown into a vibrant, intergenerational space centered on queer joy, performance, and connection.

Each Friday night includes:

• 8:00–9:30 PM — RuPaul’s Drag Race watch party

• 9:30–10:00 PM — Live performances

• 10:00 PM onward — DJ dance party

This is an all-ages event — kids are welcome, and well-behaved pets are welcome too. Families, longtime locals, immigrants, queer youth and elders, and first-time visitors all gather under one roof to watch, celebrate, and connect. The series also books and pays local performers, creating a consistent platform for Brooklyn-based artists throughout the winter months.

Taking place in the heart of Coney Island, the watch party provides rare LGBTQ+ visibility and community-building in a part of Brooklyn where such spaces are limited. It’s welcoming, joyful, low-pressure, and rooted in the neighborhood — whether you come for the show, the performances, the dancing, or just to be around good people.
