Aesop Queer Library – Mobile Library Pop-Ups
Our local libraries are vital places that help shape and share a diversity of perspectives, offering a safe space for queer narratives to be accessed and cultivated in community. In celebration of these cherished institutions, this year’s ephemeral library of LGBTQIA2S+ authors features a wealth of queer voices compiled in collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (ACLU)—including titles written by BIPOC authors or titles that have been banned or challenged across the US and Canada. Branches of the Queer Library will open concurrently in various Aesop spaces across New York City and Los Angeles from June 27th to 30th, with a series of mobile pop-up and bike libraries activating to further celebrate and spread the messaging of the Aesop Queer Library.
